The aim is to minimise the amount of waste that ends up in landfills or pollutes our oceans and waterways.
One of the key components of sustainable waste management is reducing waste at the source. This is achieved by using products designed to be reused or recycled, reducing packaging waste, and promoting eco-friendly products. For example, using reusable bags instead of single-use plastic bags or purchasing products with minimal packaging.
